Applications of BBa_M36295

We inoculated cells with this plasmid into 3mL of LB+amp and grew them overnight. The next day we added rhamnose and again allowed them to grow overnight. We then looked at them under a fluorescent microscope and saw cells as in the two images below.

These two images show clear aggregation of GFP in an E. coli cell. They were generated using a fluorescent microscope. Out of 13 images generated in the session, we could only find 2 cells shown here that demonstrated GFP aggregation. Theoretically, it would be difficult to discern the difference between a cell with high GFP expression and a cell with a huge chain of GFP given the resolution of a fluorecsent microscope, but that would be an interesting further experiment.
